First, friends, an explanation…  We’ve been absent for two weeks somewhat unintentionally, somewhat very intentionally.  You see, we were in Newfoundland for a memorial service for Glenn’s dad who passed away last August.  It was, therefore, a mixed bag to begin with… travel when we shouldn’t be travelling, joy mingled with sorrow, time to unwind married with the absolute absence of the umph to do anything.

To be clear, it was our intention to keep up with our blog posts, but, well, one thing led to another and we ended up making a deal with the devil to take two weeks off.  We are paying for that beginning today by playing catch-up. Please bear with us as we stretch our rusty blog wings again.  It might not be pretty.

At this point, I’d love to ask how you’ve been???  It feels a little strange admitting this, but I’ve missed you.  Each and every one of you dedicated readers has a little piece of our hearts.  This really has been a venture into the unknown and, while the project itself is hardly earth-moving, a foray into the very fabric of our family life.  We have discovered things about ourselves and each other that we may never have known otherwise.  It’s been quite the experience and I’ve missed reading Glenn, Chloe and Nicholas’ weekly thoughts.  I may have even missed writing.  Maybe.  Don’t quote me. This concludes the explanation portion of our evening…

Now, for the gratitude…  Thank you for taking this journey with us.  We appreciate it more than we can express.   Truly.  You are all a blessing.  And if you’re reading this inane rambling, you are a patient blessing.  I am still on Newfy time (+4.5 hrs) and am utterly exhausted.

So, there you have it.  We’re baaaack…  I hope this finds you all healthy, happy and loved!  Take care, s. xoxo
